The rule at the door

Entry to Cascades Casino London requires an age of 19 or older and valid government-issued photo ID. A second piece of identification carrying the guest's name is also required of anyone 21 or younger. A guest who is 20 therefore brings two documents, not one.

The age floor comes from provincial law. Under Ontario's Gaming Control Act, 1992, s. 2(3), a person under 19 may neither go into a casino nor stay in one. Online casino play in the province carries the same 19+ limit.

Entry and My Club Rewards · Ontario casinos are 19+

Admission requires age 19 or older and valid government-issued photo ID; anyone 21 or younger must also show a second piece of identification bearing their name. My Club Rewards costs nothing and is issued at the Guest Services desk against valid ID.

How My Club Rewards works

My Club Rewards is the players club at Cascades Casino London, and membership is free. A guest visits the Guest Services desk, presents valid ID and is enrolled there. No points rules or point values were published on the pages the desk read, so none are given here. The casino's own site is where card terms should be confirmed.

Gateway Casinos & Entertainment Limited operates the casino. At its Ontario properties, Gateway applies OLG's PlaySmart responsible gambling program. PlaySmart's own site is playsmart.ca.

Breaks

Taking a break from play

My PlayBreak, the self-exclusion program run by OLG, covers OLG.ca, Charitable Gaming Centres and Ontario casinos alike. That includes the casino floor at 900 King Street.

Online, the tool is BetGuard, which iGaming Ontario runs at betguard.ca. That tool lets a person self-exclude from every regulated online gaming site in Ontario, including OLG.ca. A person may also pick a length of their own, beyond the fixed terms of 5 years, 1 year and 6 months. Land-based casinos fall outside it, so 900 King Street is not covered. ConnexOntario answers round the clock at 1-866-531-2600, free and confidential, with text (CONNEX to 247247) and live chat at connexontario.ca.

Desk notes

  • No point values for My Club Rewards were published on the casino pages the desk read.
  • The secondary name ID rule applies to guests aged 21 or younger, not to every guest at the door.
