Online in Ontario
Cascades Casino London and iGaming Ontario
Cascades Casino London, on the 1st floor of the Main Building at 900 King Street, is a land-based casino. Online play in Ontario answers to a separate regulator under separate rules, and the desk sets those out plainly here.

The market
The regulated market
April 4, 2022 was the opening date of Ontario's regulated online gaming market. iGaming Ontario, known as iGO, conducts and manages online gaming through private operators. AGCO stands for Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario, and that body is the regulator. To operate legally, a private operator must be registered with the AGCO and hold an operating agreement with iGO.
OLG.ca is the government's own site, not a private operator.
iGaming Ontario holds the official register of regulated sites at igamingontario.ca. On a regulated site, both the iGaming Ontario logo and the BetGuard logo are shown. Only people aged 19 or older, and physically present inside Ontario, may play. Ontario's Gaming Control Act, 1992 bars anyone under 19 from entering or remaining in a casino. Online casino play carries the same 19+ rule.

Ads on this guide
Every paid link at The Old East Desk carries the Ad label and sits on the front page alone. The three are a header button, a block straight below the opening screen and a second block near the bottom. Each one points to the same single private online casino partner. The partner pays the Old East desk a commission, and it may be replaced.
Ontario rules forbid gambling ads that offer inducements, link gambling to status or attractiveness, or present winning as likely. None of that appears here. Through BetGuard, at betguard.ca and run by iGaming Ontario, a person can exclude themselves from every regulated online gaming site in Ontario. Terms run to 5 years, 1 year, 6 months or a custom length, and OLG.ca falls within the exclusion too. Its reach stops short of land-based casinos.
Questions to the desk
Asked and answered
- Is online casino play legal for people in Ontario?
- It is, inside the regulated market that has run since April 4, 2022. Private operators deliver it under iGaming Ontario, which conducts and manages it, and regulation sits with the AGCO. A player has to be at least 19 and physically present in Ontario.
- How can a reader check an online casino site?
- Look it up in iGaming Ontario's official directory of regulated sites at igamingontario.ca. Each regulated site also shows two logos, iGaming Ontario's and BetGuard's.
- Does Cascades Casino London run an online casino?
- The casino's own site lists iGaming next to its sportsbook and e-games, and the Old East desk has no details beyond that. The casino's own website is the place to check.
- What purpose do the Ad links on the Old East front page serve?
- A single private online casino partner funds the Old East desk, paying it a commission, and that partner may be swapped out. Those links run on the front page alone, and each carries the Ad label. The desk itself accepts no wagers and holds no player accounts.
